Cry1Ac/Ab ELISA test kit is intended to be used for the qualitative detection of Cry1Ac protein in Bollgard**, Bollgard II, or WideStrike individual cotton leaf or seed samples. It can also be used for detection of Cry1Ab protein in corn leaf tissue of Mon 810, Bt176 or Bt11, or in corn seed samples of Mon 810 or Bt 11. It can also be used to detect Cry1Ac in soy leaf/seed samples.

Details

An antibody specific to the Cry1Ac/Ab protein molecule is immobilized on the microwell plates and second antibody specific for Cry1Ac/Ab molecule is conjugated with horse radish peroxidase ( HRP). When the sample extracts are added to the microtiter wells, the Cry1Ac/Ab from the sample binds to the antibody immobilized in the well. This binding is subsequently detected by addition of enzyme-labeled antibody. After a washing step, substrate is added. The enzymatic reaction and development of color are proportional to the amount of Cry1Ac/Ab present in the sample. The reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution. Absorbance is then measured on a plate reader.
